Guitarist Mychal Gendron has been active as a performer and teacher for over forty years; he holds a B.M. degree from the North Carolina School of the Arts and M.M. degree from New England Conservatory. He has toured Brazil as a soloist under the aegis of Partners of the Americas, he has participated in chamber music recitals at the Fete di Limans in France and has performed at Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico. In the U.S., Mychal has presented solo guitar recitals on concert series throughout the country, including all six New England States. Mychal is a teaching associate in guitar at Brown University and a registered Suzuki Instructor at the Rhode Island Philharmonic Music School.

I believe in the ability of each student to succeed in music by developing with their innate ability. Building a fundamental technique, music literacy skills and music theory are part of my lesson approach at all levels, supplemented by classical guitar repertoire appropriate to each student's level and personal interest.

I teach classical technique and repertoire with a focus on individual student's level, ability and interest.
