Me as a Teacher
As a jazz piano teacher, I embody a passion for both music and education, creating an engaging and supportive learning environment for my students. With over 15 years of experience, I have developed a deep understanding of jazz theory, improvisation, and performance techniques, which I am eager to share. My teaching philosophy centers on nurturing the unique musical voice of each student, fostering their creativity, and helping them develop a strong foundation with piano kill.
I rely on patience, encouragement, and a genuine enthusiasm for the learning process. I strive to create a safe and supportive space where students can explore, experiment, and make mistakes without judgement.
My Teaching Style
I believe in the power of personalized instruction, tailoring my teaching approach to meet the individual needs and goals of each student. Whether you are a beginner taking your first steps into the world of jazz or an intermediate player looking to expand your repertoire, I will create a customized curriculum that aligns with your aspirations. By evaluating your current skill level and musical preferences, I will design a comprehensive lesson plan that combines technique exercises, music theory, ear training, and repertoire building.
Whether you are a jazz pianist or a music producer, I am confident I can tailor a plan to meet your needs!

Awareness, Intention, and Consistency

What I liked most about Dr. Fadini was that he never made music feel small or rigid. He understood that learning music is deeply personal, and he treated it that way. He pushed high standards, but never through fear or pressure. Instead, he focused on awareness, intention, and consistency, which changed how I think about practicing and performing altogether.
What really stayed with me was how much he cared about the process, not just the outcome. He wasn’t interested in quick results or surface-level improvement. He wanted real growth, the kind that comes from showing up every day and being honest about where you are. That mattered to me because it made progress feel achievable instead of overwhelming.
Dr. Fadini also had a way of meeting me where I was without lowering the bar. His feedback was direct but never discouraging. He made it clear that mistakes were part of learning, not something to avoid or be embarrassed by. That helped me develop a healthier mindset around music, especially during moments when self-criticism could easily take over.
More than anything, he respected the individual behind the instrument. He saw me as person first and musicians second, and that created an environment where I felt comfortable taking risks and actually learning. His teaching didn’t just improve my playing, it reshaped how I approach growth, discipline, and patience. I couldn't be more greatful to have crossed his path through this platform, thank you.

Alex is an amazing professor — truly a walking masterclass in musicianship. I’m continually impressed by how patient and caring he is, even with the most novice students. He’s extremely approachable and always honest in his feedback. I honestly don’t think there’s any area of music that he couldn’t teach.
Good at Assessing My Needs

Aleks was very good at assessing what my needs were based off of where I was at in my playing journey. He was also very helpful and generous with his time, and always took the time to respond to questions I had over text outside of our sessions.
