About Me
Having a Grammy® consideration for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album, Jolynn is an internationally acclaimed pianist, composer, and educator with over a decade of global performance and teaching experience. Trained for over 20 years under a Juilliard graduate professor, she brings exceptional expertise to her craft.
Jolynn has won a Gold Award at the Asia International Piano Academy Festival and was also a piano act on America’s Got Talent Season 16. As an award-winning artist and multi-genre composer, her contributions has also led to a Nomiantion for Best Original Film Score. Jolynn has collaborated with Grammy®-nominated and winning artists and has recently worked with the iconic Abbey Road Studios in London. Whether you’re aiming to enhance your piano skills, explore songwriting and composition, or navigate the music industry, Jolynn is passionate about equipping students with the tools and knowledge to thrive.
Me as a Teacher
I have been teaching pianists from various countries and age range for 9 years, such as France, German, UK Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Africa and the United States. I have helped young beginners fall in love with music and also helped advanced piano students obtain a Diploma in Piano Performance. My students have also entered various national and international competitions, all in which have walked away with prizes. I am here to equip you with the right techniques you need when playing the piano, songwriting, composing or music business consultation.
My Teaching Style
I believe every student is unique, so I tailor my lessons to suit individual goals and interests. Whether you’re just starting out or already experienced, I focus on making lessons fun, engaging, and inspiring. My approach combines practical skills with a solid understanding of music theory, helping students build confidence while exploring their creative side.
I specialize in off-time music, composition, and film scoring, but I love teaching a variety of styles and techniques. My goal is to help these students grow as a musician and discover your own voice, while enjoying the process every step of the way.

Jolynn has been an incredible tutor in helping me prepare for my Grade 8 practical ABRSM and theory exams for my scholarship enrollment. It was a great pleasure to learn from Ms Jolynn. Many piano techniques have been taught to me, such as keeping my fingers curved at all times. She is the first piano teacher that helped me receive 2 gold medals in my national and international level piano competitions. Before the rise of COVID-19, I experienced lots of outdoor and indoor performances activity with her. I'd love to get this opportunity to go around with her and see her perform on stage. I was recommended to Jolynn by a friend and I’m so glad I reached out. I was looking for someone to come to my apartment in Beverly Hills after classes at UCLA, and she made everything super convenient and stress-free.
